NZ's top surf beach and 'get-away' places for everyone

Piha New Zealand

Photos of Piha, Surf and surrounds

Lion Rock, Piha, would be the most photographed part of Piha Beach. Lion Rock is Piha's icon. The majority of visitors to Piha Beach have their photo taken, from the lookout, with Lion Rock in the background. Also Kitekite Falls, the Gap etc

Photographers say that Piha's light makes photography here special. So, other than Lion Rock, there are many other beautiful vistas for the keen photographer.

Patience please: to preserve the quality of these photos they may take a wee while to download but once download you will get a great flavour of this beautiful part of the West Coast of Auckland.  All photos copyrighted to photographer.  Pse email if you would like a copy.

Kitekite Falls:
Take a walk through some outstanding New Zealand native bush to the Kitekite Falls. A natural pond begs you to get in and cool off. The return walk, from the end of Glen Esk Road, takes approx 40 minutes. But if you wish to stroll and enjoy the walk allow at least an hour, if not two.
